Spring Burlap Wreath DIY

Spring Burlap Wreath DIY

This cute and Easy Spring Wreath DIY can be whipped up in 30 minutes.  My Daughter wanted to make a wreath together.  She’s been watching a lot of videos on Youtube and keeps coming to me with with ideas of fun activities for us to do together so I pick the ones that are going to work out well for us.

This wreath is so easy to make my 7 year can do it by herself. Of course she loves the help and the time we spend together, and she is beaming with pride when ever she looks at it! We like to fill our home with things that bring us joy and she is filled with joy when ever she sees her wreath!

We decided to make a wreath for out door. After a little convincing she went with the burlap ribbon. She choose flowers and berries of her liking and we also picked up a round styrofoam ring. We had the rest of our supplies in our craft bins at home.

To make this wreath you will need:

Wisteria

1 Styrofoam ring
Burlap ribbon
Berries in the color of your choice
Small flowers
Wisteria flowers (or another long draping flower
Wire cutter
Fabric Glue

Garden wire

Scissors

We started by making a bow from the burlap ribbon. We used burlap ribbon, garden wire and a touch of glue. If you don’t like making bows you can purchase a pre-made one and it works perfectly! Find them here.

Then we covered the styrofoam ring with burlap twice then attached the burlap bow. You can also purchase a burlap bow if that would be easier. We cut the berries and small flowers and stuck them under the burlap and into the foam. Last the wisteria flowers stems and leaves were cut and and placed into the styrofoam with a little glue for extra security.

We went with small and inexpensive supplies for our project. But you can totally personalize this to to your taste by changing the size and quality of the ribbons and florals you choose. I like making wreaths like this because I don’t have to feel guilty when it is time to change it out and my taste is constantly changing. In a month or two we will feel like we got more than our moneys worth. My girls loves to craft! We are always picking up craft supplies and bought everything we needed here at the dollar store!
